I was touched to get this note from a former student who remembered a
long ago encounter in his classroom.
Dear Ms. Rubright
I can’t remember whether it was in a college class or at a seminar, but
sometime in my young adulthood–so, 20-25 years ago or so–you read the
children’s book Love You Forever to a gathering of which I was part.
Your reading, and particularly your singing, has stayed with me. I can
hear it as clearly as the day I experienced it. It’s a wonderful and
reflective go-to when I need it parenting my own children (12 and 9).
In just that few minutes you gave me a treasure. Thank you!
Warmly,
Bo Williams
